Tao Teh Ching

.

Tao Teh Ching is one of my favorite books I have read to deal with my foolishness. whenever I read it, ancient wisdom always comes new to me.

Though Tao Teh Ching was written more than two thousand years ago, the teaching of “Old Master”, Lao Tzu, is infinitely deep. His words are very useful in developing a sense of balance and harmony in everyday life.

Among the copies of translation, I love the rendering of John C. H. Wu (1899-1986), a native speaker of Chinese who was also fluent in English.

To realize that our knowledge is ignorance, This is a noble insight.

To regard our ignorance as knowledge, This is mental sickness.
